Review for LEGO set 1490 Town Bank from
“This LEGO Town Bank set features a detailed design, including an alarm system, a night deposit drop, and a gated area for the armored truck. The interior includes a teller station, an executive office with classic accessories, and a lobby with double doors, all complemented... More by three minifigures. While the gold bars add a touch of wealth, the lack of printed money pieces feels like a missed opportunity for a bank-themed set.”

About Town Shops and Services

The Shops and Services minifigures are the staff and customers of LEGO Town's shops, garages and petrol stations from 1980 to 2003. Many are petrol station attendants in branded uniforms, Shell staff in most of the world and Exxon staff in sets sold in North America, later replaced by LEGO's own brand, Octan. Mechanics in overalls work in the garages, waiters in formal vests and a chef with a moustache serve in the café and pizzeria, and police officers, racers and drivers in zipped jackets come by as customers. They have the classic smiling face and carry no names.
