“Lego was not doing very well at that time, and models often differed from what we were used to earlier. Nevertheless, there were also quite successful constructions. Such is the presented 1253 Shell Race Car Transporter from 1999 , consisting of 102 elements and 1 minifig. A... More set dedicated to shopping at Shell stations, but also when shopping online. A set tied to two brands, i.e., of course, Shell and Ferrari.”

“The truck features a nostalgic 4-wide design with useful tool holds and a simulated oil can in the back, though it's missing doors. The race car captures a Ferrari F1 vibe, adding a nice touch, but feels more like a go-kart due to its shorter length. Despite some minor flaws, like the awkward canopy and ramp design, the set offers a good balance of playability and classic LEGO style.”
