“The Lego 166 Flat Wagon is an accessory piece for the 4.5/12 volt line. The set includes 53 pieces, and of those pieces are 8 pieces of track, and two minifigures. His is one of the first sets to have minifigures with printed on torsos, while you might thing, what’s the big... More deal? It is revolutionary back then, but now its not all that impressive because we have all of these things. The Flat wagon is a attachment to any train, and will carry any excess cargo you might have, and put it in there. It will be a nice addition to any Lego train track.”

About Trains 4.5V / 12V

In 1972 LEGO released the 4.5V and 12V train sets as part of the Blue Era which was named because of the rail color. These train sets used additional conductor rails mounted between the standard 4.5V rails and 12V motors contained in the same housings as the 4.5V motors, but with additional metal contacts attached to the bottom of the housings.

4.5V / 12V consists of 83 sets that ran from 1972 to 1986. As of today, 7730 Electric Goods Train Set is the most valuable 4.5V / 12V set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $5,459.
