About Pens

The LEGO Gear Pens subtheme, active from 2000 to 2011, featured a variety of writing instruments that integrated LEGO's distinctive design elements. These pens often showcased themes from popular LEGO lines, including Star Wars, Bionicle, and Harry Potter. Notable examples include the Darth Vader Pen and the Yoda Connect & Build Pen, both released in 2011. Some pens were designed with interchangeable components, allowing users to customize their writing experience by rearranging parts, reflecting LEGO's core principle of creativity and personalization. Although these pens are now retired, they remain sought after by collectors and enthusiasts for their unique blend of functionality and LEGO's iconic aesthetic.
