21603 LEGO Minecraft The Mineshaft Cave Expedition

LEGO 21603 The Mineshaft Cave Expedition is a rumored Minecraft set due in January 2027, with an expected retail price of $29.99. It is one of 7 rumored Minecraft sets for 2027.

Forecast Model

This represents the expected annual growth (CAGR) based solely on a forecast model.
The Mineshaft Cave Expedition is a medium-sized underground Minecraft layout built around a multi-level cave network with an abandoned mineshaft running through it. The build uses a short run of track with a working minecart, plus a TNT lever that blows out a rock wall section to uncover ore elements. The cave packs in resource blocks like gold, iron or diamonds, and comes with a miner-style player skin, a Cave Spider and either a Zombie or a Skeleton.
Details are based on early reports and may change before LEGO's official announcement.
Collector and Investor Insights
Minecraft cave and mining sets tend to have a firmer collector base than generic biome sets, because they center on one of the game's core activities and often include hostile mobs, rails, ore reveals, and destruction features in one compact model. This medium-sized minifigure-scale set fits that pattern well, although broad retail distribution usually points to steadier, more moderate appreciation than a short-run exclusive.

About Minecraft Minifig-scale

The LEGO Minecraft theme is based on the video game Minecraft and a collaboration between Mojang and the LEGO Group. Sets in this theme were all based on the traditional LEGO minifigure scale. Minecraft is a sandbox indie game originally created by Notch (Markus Persson) and later developed and published by Mojang / Microsoft. The official release occurred in 2013 with the first set, Minecraft: Micro World: The Forest, released under LEGO Ideas and was created by Mojang through the LEGO CUUSOO program in 2012. At MineCon 2013, LEGO announced brand new minifigure-scale Minecraft sets.

Minifig-scale was introduced in 2014 and currently consists of 129 sets. As of today, 21137 The Mountain Cave is the most valuable Minifig-scale set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $1,717.
