Insights

Released in the early 1990s and now retired, DUPLO World People (2772) contains a period-specific lineup of printed Duplo figures that drives collector interest, and sealed copies are scarce, but ongoing people-themed Duplo remakes create substitution risk that tempers upside for short-term traders.

Set Facts

The group includes six Type 1 child figures, identifiable by their shorter proportions and simpler facial expressions.
Adult figures feature more detailed prints such as heart-button blouses, sweaters with stitching, tennis themes, and formal tops with ties or bow ties.
Hair colors and styles vary notably, including black curls, brown molded hair, red molded hair, and Fabuland-style pieces shared across product lines.

About Duplo

The LEGO DUPLO theme was introduced as far back as 1969 and is designed for children ages 1 to 5. It features DUPLO figures which are much larger than minifigures and DUPLO blocks which are about twice the length, width, and height of a standard System brick. Like LEGO System, DUPLO also has subthemes that are often junior versions of System themes, like Pirates and Castle and licensed themes like Disney and Super Heros.
