LEGO 2849 Helicopter is a Town Flight set released in 1997, containing 20 pieces and 1 minifigure. The set builds a small red open helicopter with two rotors that can swivel 360°, including a large single-piece main rotor, and includes a pilot minifigure in blue with a white helmet and an Octan logo torso. Also known as “Gyrocopter,” it is identical to set 1068 Air Patrol. It was distributed as a promotion with Shell in Holland and Switzerland and by Blockbuster in the United Kingdom, and was also available via a Woolworths three-set pack in 1998 and through Tesco.

The LEGO Town Flight theme, active from 1985 to 2004, centered around aviation and air travel.
