About Mindstorms NXT

The LEGO Mindstorms NXT programmable robotics kit released by LEGO in July 2006, replacing the first-generation LEGO Mindstorms kit. The kit also includes NXT-G, a graphical programming environment that enables the creation and downloading of programs to the NXT.

NXT consists of 30 sets that ran from 2006 to 2011. As of today, 8527 Mindstorms NXT is the most valuable NXT set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $357.

Know which way is up!

Using the NXT Brick (sold separately), the Accelerometer Sensor lets your LEGO® MINDSTORMS® creation know which way is up and when your robot tilts left or right, up or down, or side to side. This three axis accelerometer sensor also measures acceleration so you can measure g forces just like jet fighter pilots and astronauts.
Does not include connector cable.

This is the individual component, and does not include the NXT Intelligent Brick, software or any accessories. It requires the complete LEGO® MINDSTORMS® NXT set (#8527 or #8547) for use.
