LEGO 2890-1 Stone Bomber is a Castle/Black Knights promotional set released in 1998 in Japan, containing 22 pieces and 1 minifigure. The set includes a small catapult and a Black Knights knight minifigure. It was distributed as a Kabaya promotion in Japan and is the same model as set 1917 King's Catapult, which was originally released in 1993. Stone Bomber is a Japan-exclusive reissue of that earlier Castle set under a different set number and name.

“This is one of the small sets of the castle theme, black knights subtheme. Same set as 1917, the "Stone Bomber" was released in 1998 and was packaged with Kabaya sweets, so, it is a promo set, and includes few pieces. The minifigure included is a black knight, simple... More designed but nice, because it still in a simple Lego minifigure style, and have a cool color scheme, with some red, yellow and black details, also includes a helmet and a sword.”

About Castle Black Knights

The Black Knights were a faction of the Castle theme introduced in 1998. A total of 13 sets were released containing 3 major castles. Most of the castles and fortification where colored black and their symbol was a wyvern dragon. While The Black Knights subtheme was discontinued after 1994 the crest was still used in later sets.

Black Knights consists of 14 sets that ran from 1988 to 1998. As of today, 6086 Black Knight's Castle is the most valuable Black Knights set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $4,174.
