“Black Monarch's Castle is a great set and a great value for the money compared to other castle sets. Here you get a complete castle that encloses a courtyard or opens up for large scale play/display. Multiple towers span three floors and includes a working portcullis and... More drawbridge! To top it all off the old sets have something the newer sets lack, a large assortment of minifigs! 12 soldiers garrison this castle, four archers, four footmen and four knights with mounts.”

“This castle is a real classic set: big, beautiful, a lot of minifigs, a good concept of spin-connection. The castle now has a big central part, which integrated the drawbridge and a portcullis entirely made with plate bricks. Weapons: 6 swords, 4 battleaxes, 2 crossbows, 2... More bows, 3 spears, 10 shields. Minifigs: 12 and 4 horses.”
