Airport is the LEGO City subtheme for planes, terminals and the work around them, and LEGO airports go back to the Town theme of the 1980s. The anchor is a full airport with a terminal, a control tower and a passenger plane, which City has done every few years since 7894 Airport in 2006. Passenger jets, cargo planes, airport fire trucks and small private planes fill the rest, along with stunt planes for air shows and the VIP service of 2016. The airports are among the larger sets of City, with room for passengers, baggage carts, fuel trucks and boarding stairs, as in 60502 Airport with Airplane from 2026.
Airport was introduced in 2005 and currently consists of 31 sets. As of today,
7893 Passenger Plane is the most valuable Airport set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $438.
