A retail polybag aimed at City Police collectors, Police Bike Training (2023) has shown some after-market interest but lacks exclusive elements and sits in an evergreen subtheme prone to reissues, limiting long-term upside while leaving it useful for short-term flips or set completers.

Brickset

“Play value is undoubtedly the primary strength of 30638 Police Bike Training. The mountain bike alone is fun for play, while the accompanying obstacles provide appealing variety. The dark blue bike and uncommon minifigure will doubtless entice some older LEGO fans too,... More seeking a good selection of elements for a low price.”

“This polybag packs plenty of play value, and will be a fun pickup for younger LEGO City fans, and I do like the inclusion of the printed police brick, and a new police cadet minifigure.”

About City Police

Police has been part of LEGO City from the start in 2005, and police sets go back further still, to the Town theme of the late 1970s. Police comes back every year or two with a new wave built around a police station, the anchor of the range, which has been rebuilt every few years since 7237 Police Station of 2005.

Police was introduced in 2005 and currently consists of 110 sets. As of today, 7237-2 Police Station is the most valuable Police set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $496.

Summary

City Police Police Bike Training set 30638 was released in January 2023, retailing for $5, but has since been retired. New, unopened Police Bike Training sets are valued at $13, while used sets can be found for $3.

Kids can sharpen up their LEGO biking skills with this fun police bike training playset, including a toy bike, rough trail setting, seesaw, cones and a rider minifigure.
