The LEGO Football (Soccer) subtheme was the first sport featured in the Sports theme and was released in 2000. Football sets play principle involved minifigures on fixed positions that were mounted on flexible stands in the center of small pits on the field. With this play concept, two large football fields for team matches and several small training setups with fewer figures were released.

3409 Championship Challenge is the most valuable Football set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $507.

Sports Football Americas Team Bus set 3405 was released in April 2000, retailing for $20, but has since been retired. New, unopened Americas Team Bus sets are valued at $48, while used sets can be found for $37 in good condition.
