Lego Maniacs' Guide
“3408 covers the one gap that really existed in the World Cup sets: a spectator entrance. This set tries to be even more ambitious, as it combines a souvenir shop, a TV film position, a medical facility, and stadium seating all into one package. As is usually the case when... More this happens, quality in all parts is neglected as the cost of quantity. Let me address each part individually.”

BrickEconomy Member Review
“This set offers a good variety of features, including 5 unique minifigures and accessories like a camera, soccer ball, and a car with a stretcher, which add to the soccer theme. The building includes a shop, emergency room, and a news station, with removable sections for interactive play. While the design could be more polished, especially with more structure for the building, the set still provides a fun experience for soccer fans.”

About Sports Football

Football was the first part of LEGO Sports, launched in 2000, and it ran until 2007. The players stand on springy bases fixed in the pitch. A player kicks the ball when flicked, so a match is played by pushing and releasing the figures, and the bigger sets set out a whole pitch for two teams.

Football consists of 42 sets that ran from 2000 to 2007. As of today, 3409 Championship Challenge is the most valuable Football set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $437.
Summary
Sports Football Super Sports Coverage set 3408 was released in April 2000, retailing for $30, but has since been retired. New, unopened Super Sports Coverage sets are valued at $54, while used sets can be found for $49.
