Is this LEGO set a good investment?
“Over that last few years Train Starter Set has been a particularly good investment for Duplo collectors with an annualized growth of upwards of 9.8% per year. However, there is market indication that the set will experience a slight annual growth decrease in the coming years, but this should be only by a few percentage points at most. When compared to the vast majority of set in the Duplo theme, this set is still an excellent investment for collectors.”

About Duplo Trains

Trains is a subtheme of Duplo that consists of 46 sets that as of now ran from 1983 to 2018.

The LEGO DUPLO theme was introduced as far back as 1969 and is designed for children ages 1 to 5. It features DUPLO figures which are much larger than minifigures and DUPLO blocks which are about twice the length, width, and height of a standard System brick. Like LEGO System, DUPLO also has subthemes that are often junior versions of System themes, like Pirates and Castle and licensed themes like Disney and Super Heros.
