LEGO 40036 Cobra is a Promotional set in the Monthly Mini Model Build subtheme released in 2012, containing 37 pieces. The set builds a small brick-built cobra using a simple parts selection suited to the in-store mini model format. It was distributed to registered VIP members ages 6 to 14 during LEGO Brand Store monthly mini model build events. About Monthly Mini Model Build

The LEGO Monthly Mini Model Build is an event that takes place at LEGO Stores around the world where stores offer a free LEGO model to kids ages 6-14. Kids visiting a LEGO Store can watch the monthly model being built and then receive one for free. There is a limit to participation as each store receives about 250 models each month.
