LEGO 40128 Robot is a Promotional Monthly Mini Model Build set released in 2015, containing 50 pieces. The set was distributed as a make-and-take model to registered VIP members aged 6 to 14 during the March 2015 monthly mini model build event at official LEGO Brand Stores. Its build depicts a small brick-built robot in the style of the in-store mini model series. The model was later repackaged as 40128-2 Robot Uniqlo for a separate Uniqlo promotion.

“It seems that LEGO has been going for a space theme connection recently with the Monthly Builds this year so far with the Alien (40126) in January, the Space Shuttle (40127) last month, the Robot from yesterday, and an UFO (40129) for April. The 50 piece Robot has a cool... More look to it with some interesting pieces to go along with it. It has a head that swivels a full 360 degrees. The arms are articulated on the newer ball joint pieces. The torso area on the front has a printed 1×4 tile with gauges and dials while the back has a windup key.”

About Monthly Mini Model Build

The LEGO Monthly Mini Model Build is an event that takes place at LEGO Stores around the world where stores offer a free LEGO model to kids ages 6-14. Kids visiting a LEGO Store can watch the monthly model being built and then receive one for free. There is a limit to participation as each store receives about 250 models each month.

Monthly Mini Model Build consists of 153 sets that ran from 2008 to 2020. As of today, Beach Chair is the most valuable Monthly Mini Model Build set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $92.
