LEGO 40130-1 Koala is a Promotional Monthly Mini Model Build set released in 2015, containing 65 pieces. The set was distributed to registered VIP members at official LEGO Brand Stores as part of the May 2015 Monthly Mini Model Build make-and-take event. “The build itself is very simple with the major colors being bluish gray and white with some shades of pink for the mouth and ears. The completed look is pretty cute with a head that spins on a turntable piece. The arms and legs are on hinges so they have some articulation as... More well. The only thing I didn’t like about the Koala is the body looks a little thin if you look at it straight.”

About Monthly Mini Model Build

The LEGO Monthly Mini Model Build is an event that takes place at LEGO Stores around the world where stores offer a free LEGO model to kids ages 6-14. Kids visiting a LEGO Store can watch the monthly model being built and then receive one for free. There is a limit to participation as each store receives about 250 models each month.
