“The whale itself is the smallest for 2015 so far coming in at only 31 pieces. The build is pretty straightforward with no special techniques and extremely easy to create even for younger children. Although the set is only named a whale, the shape of it is similar to a... More humpback. On top of the whale, there is a simulation of watching coming out of their blowhole. The tail is able to move up and down on the hinge.”

About Monthly Mini Model Build

The LEGO Monthly Mini Model Build is an event that takes place at LEGO Stores around the world where stores offer a free LEGO model to kids ages 6-14. Kids visiting a LEGO Store can watch the monthly model being built and then receive one for free. There is a limit to participation as each store receives about 250 models each month.
