- This game was first discovered at the Berlin LEGO Brand Store in August 2018 but later became exclusive to other LEGO stores and LEGOLand stores. Ludo is an American adaptation of the game is called Parcheesi published by Parker Brothers. The set has 16 minifigures with eight different designs.
- The LEGO version of the game is a fairly accurate rendition of the Ludo board, but using minifigures as tokens and replacing the usual 6-side die with a 6-number spinner on one side.

“With the 10.2 cents per piece the 40198 LEGO Ludo Game is not a particularly cheap toy and a bit more expensive than traditional versions. The reason for the price is, of course, 16 minifigures and a number of large plates and a baseplate, all of which increase the price... More significantly. However, I can't find a way to call the price unfair. Unlike many other LEGO sets, the Ludo game comes with countless hours of easily customisable gaming sessions. The board, the figures, the rules — everything can be changed, and the size of your LEGO collection is the only limit. All in all, the set makes a very positive impression and we are looking forward to trying out more LEGO board games in the future.”

It is colourful, functional and a decent novelty level with room to add on your own little extras if feeling creative. The game plays...
