The Brick Post

“The set is marketed towards 8+ and has 232 pieces including 3 minifigures. This might seem like poor value for money but the parts selected for this set appear to be quite interesting and better value than PPP might suggest. New parts like a banana peel and ornamental fence... More are included and a 16×16 Dark Tan plate and blue bird are also not the cheapest parts to pick up from Bricklink or PAB. So this is a set to get quite excited about we think!”

Full review at www.thebrickpost.com

“This little set replicates at least the basic functions of the larger LEGO carousel models and would be the perfect addition to a smaller city diorama. You could place it in a park, marketplace, fairground, or wherever your minifigs like to have fun.”

About Creator

The LEGO Creator theme consists of a variety of subthemes that revolve around sets that focus on buildings, creatures, vehicles, robots and recently more specialized sets such as botanical and even the Chinese New Year. Many of these sets have fallen under the 3-in-1 label which include instructions in a single set to provide multiple alternative models. Originally created in 2001 with a focus on larger bucket sets, the LEGO Creator theme has expanded outside just bricks to later include minifigures.

Summary

Creator Carousel Ride set 40714 was released in March 2024, retailing for $25, but has since been retired. New, unopened Carousel Ride sets are valued at $35, while used sets can be found for $29.
