Race Car Reviews
The Technic Gear
“This is a small but fun LEGO Technic model. It isn’t really complex and you can have it built in around 30 minutes. Really, don’t expect anything complex or challenging in this model. The front of the car is really quite nice for such an small model with so little parts.... More LEGO designers did a notable work with the fake motor where six connectors imitate the real motor’s pistons.”

Eurobricks
“This is only a small Technic set with 158 pieces. Apart from the pull-back motor, there aren't any other functions in this model (no steering, suspension, etc). Aesthetically the race car looks quite nice, which wouldn't have been possible without the new smaller panels,... More and it's good to see little details added such as the drivers seat and steering wheel, the engine details, and the rear light at the back.”

About Technic
TECHNIC is one of The LEGO Company's main lines based on creating detailed model machines and mechanical toys with specialized beams, axles, gears and connectors and primarily designed for older children and adults. The theme was first introduced as the Expert Builder series in 1977, but was officially renamed as TECHNIC in 1984. TECHNIC is still an active theme, and is one of the longest running themes in LEGO history. While most TECHNIC sets are vehicles that use pieces to mimic real vehicles, such as engine pieces, suspension, pneumatic, and transmission pieces, the TECHNIC parts have been used by various other System themes as well as LEGO Mindstorms.
