Is this LEGO set a good investment?
“Over that last few years WHACK! has been a particularly good investment for Technic collectors with an annualized growth of upwards of 9.0% per year. However, there is market indication that the set will experience a slight annual growth decrease in the coming years, but this should be only by a few percentage points at most. When compared to the vast majority of set in the Technic theme, this set is still an excellent investment for collectors.”

“By winding up the Pullback motor, i.e. pulling the model backwards and releasing the model, you can achieve pretty good speed. If there is not enough space in front of the race car, you could easily hit the wall or some other obstacle... Which may actually be what designer... More had in mind all along...as the other function is. Pullback motor? Light weight/high speed? Race car/rugged formula shape? Well, i think kids will have fun with this small racer.”

About Technic

TECHNIC is one of The LEGO Company's main lines based on creating detailed model machines and mechanical toys with specialized beams, axles, gears and connectors and primarily designed for older children and adults. The theme was first introduced as the Expert Builder series in 1977, but was officially renamed as TECHNIC in 1984. TECHNIC is still an active theme, and is one of the longest running themes in LEGO history. While most TECHNIC sets are vehicles that use pieces to mimic real vehicles, such as engine pieces, suspension, pneumatic, and transmission pieces, the TECHNIC parts have been used by various other System themes as well as LEGO Mindstorms.
