“This is one of my favourite Technic sets of the size for years. The price seems like an absolute bargain to me as there are plenty of features on the model in relation to its size. They all work very well and hit just the right balance between simplicity and complexity in my... More opinion, demonstrating some basic engineering very nicely. If you are looking for an easy introduction to LEGO Technic this is an ideal set. For seasoned collectors there are no new building techniques or functions, but this is the first time we have seen a compact tracked loader in the long history of the Technic theme so I think this set is worth picking up.”

“The finished model is a sturdy little thing with a bucket and spikes that can be moved via two levers at the top, and tracked wheels made up of 64 tiny parts that are a bit of a chore to connect up. But while it’s sturdy, it’s not going to win any awards for it’s looks. It’s... More too small to really look that interesting on a shelf as a display piece, but it should be strong enough to hold together in any play sessions.”

About Technic

TECHNIC is one of The LEGO Company's main lines based on creating detailed model machines and mechanical toys with specialized beams, axles, gears and connectors and primarily designed for older children and adults. The theme was first introduced as the Expert Builder series in 1977, but was officially renamed as TECHNIC in 1984. TECHNIC is still an active theme, and is one of the longest running themes in LEGO history. While most TECHNIC sets are vehicles that use pieces to mimic real vehicles, such as engine pieces, suspension, pneumatic, and transmission pieces, the TECHNIC parts have been used by various other System themes as well as LEGO Mindstorms.
