Arctic Truck Reviews
Rebrickable
“I found the build to be pretty interesting (more so than the 42039 Race Car), I guess because it is a bit unusual. However I must say, it's a really ugly truck :) I couldn't find any images of the type of truck this is supposed to be a model of, but I assume they are all... More about function over form. Searching for images of 'arctic truck with crane' gives more LEGO results than real trucks.”

Brickset
“The model looks good, fairly large but not bulky. Tracks and steering are useless on smooth surface but on carpet it works just fine. Crane is a big disappointment and feels unfinished, I actually made a modification to it by connecting the small LA 1 stud closer to the... More winch so I can put cargo all the way to the front of the bed, while crane can still by folded horizontally. Suspension is a bit softer but works fine. Steering is a bit stiff, maybe replacing the 3L friction pins with non friction would help?”

About Technic
TECHNIC is one of The LEGO Company's main lines based on creating detailed model machines and mechanical toys with specialized beams, axles, gears and connectors and primarily designed for older children and adults. The theme was first introduced as the Expert Builder series in 1977, but was officially renamed as TECHNIC in 1984. TECHNIC is still an active theme, and is one of the longest running themes in LEGO history. While most TECHNIC sets are vehicles that use pieces to mimic real vehicles, such as engine pieces, suspension, pneumatic, and transmission pieces, the TECHNIC parts have been used by various other System themes as well as LEGO Mindstorms.
