Record Breaker Reviews
Is this LEGO set a good investment?
“As a Technic set, 42033 LEGO Record Breaker is a good investment and has been slightly outperforming a typical Technic set with an average annual growth hovering around 7%. While not the best year over year return for this theme, it still is not a bad investment for collectors.”

Brickset
“The completed model is surprisingly long and sleek. It does not have any camera unfriendly side and looks good from all angles. It has some nice touches like the engine intake on the front and the exhaust at the back. There is just enough space to fit a minifig (yay!). The... More pullback motor coupled with the low profile tires gives the car it's namesake Record Breaker speed! and what speed”

The Test Pit
“Both these sets are considered 'step-up' in the world of Technic, as they might not be quick and simple builds, but contain not that many more than 100 parts. Both these vehicles do contain the pull-back Technic engine block that we've had fun with many times before and... More generally look pretty awesome and unique.”

About Technic

TECHNIC is one of The LEGO Company's main lines based on creating detailed model machines and mechanical toys with specialized beams, axles, gears and connectors and primarily designed for older children and adults. The theme was first introduced as the Expert Builder series in 1977, but was officially renamed as TECHNIC in 1984. TECHNIC is still an active theme, and is one of the longest running themes in LEGO history. While most TECHNIC sets are vehicles that use pieces to mimic real vehicles, such as engine pieces, suspension, pneumatic, and transmission pieces, the TECHNIC parts have been used by various other System themes as well as LEGO Mindstorms.
