About Mindstorms EV3

The LEGO Mindstorms EV3 was the third generation Mindstorms product and a major upgrade of the NXT platform being released in 2013. The EV3 can be controlled by smart-devices such as mobile devices and can also boot an alternative OS from a microSD card.

EV3 was introduced in 2013 and currently consists of 10 sets. As of today, 31313 Mindstorms EV3 is the most valuable EV3 set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $530.
