“This one's always hard to rate for something so old. It's good, but it's not several hundred dollars worth of good which isn't unheard of for it to be going for. For fifty bucks it's worth it, but none of the pieces are *that* exclusive and most of the neat decals aren't... More decals at all but are in fact stickers and not printed pieces in the slightest. It's probably the cheapest of the old style Lego train sets to still get these days at 50+ dollars used and several hundred new, so if you really want some better way for your trains to pick up and drop off passengers than the tiny basically ramps that 4559 and 4561 come with, it's probably worth getting.”

“This set includes 236 piece, and of those 236 pieces there is a motor cycle, 7 minifigures and a building. I personally like this one over the 4554 train station, because this one is a lot more compact, a lot cuter if you look at it. It takes up little room, and seat just... More about as many minifigures for the 4554. This would make a great addition to any Lego train track.”

About Trains 9V

LEGO Trains is one of the longer running themes that dates back from 1966 and ran up until 2006. During its run there were multiple sets released running on various power platforms from 4.5volt, to 9 and 12 volt sets. Later in 2011 LEGO released additional train sets using RC and Power Functions controllers under different themes like City.

9V consists of 67 sets that ran from 1991 to 2006. As of today, 4558 Metroliner is the most valuable 9V set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $1,381.
