“Overall this is a excellent set! You get two great highly detailed models and lots of nice parts. Personally I enjoyed the alternate model more. A pushback has not been done outside of this set. This was only the fourth set to come from the Model Team theme when it came out... More back in 1990. I think they did a great job with the parts available at the time. You could probably improve upon it some with newer curved/sloped elements but the model still looks great.”

There is barely a smooth piece to be seen and SNOT (studs not on top) was but the dream of a madman back in 1988. However, it is still perhaps one of the best Model Team sets made... More to date, combining detail, a ruggedly playable exterior, and sheer scale that wowed children perusing LEGO's catalogue back then, and continuing to wow collectors on eBay and Bricklink today. If you can find one for sale you won't be disappointed, but you will likely be quite a bit poorer.”

About Model Team

The LEGO Model Team theme introduced in 1986 included larger scale vehicle models with more attention to details, such as steering and drive functionality as well as visual realism of the vehicles. Model Team was discontinued after 1999 and replaced by the Creator theme.
