LEGO 604-2 Excavator is a LEGOLAND Vehicle set released in 1971, containing 22 pieces. The set builds a small front loader/excavator using early Mini-Wheel elements typical of LEGOLAND vehicles of the era. It was the version sold in Europe, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada, and is the same model as 410 Payloader released in the United States. The set was also included in 349 Mini-Wheel Construction Set, and its tractor design matches the tractor used in 682 Low-Loader and Tractor.

A new and sealed Excavator is currently valued at around $258, with annual growth of approximately 5%. The average used price is $8 for those in good overall condition. Based on current trends, this set could be valued near $272 within the next year.

The LEGOLAND Vehicle theme is a subset of the broader LEGOLAND line from the 1970s and 1980s. This specific theme concentrated on various vehicles, from cars and trucks to boats and airplanes. Using a more simplistic design approach characteristic of that era, the sets aimed to recreate everyday transportation modes.

Vehicle consists of 47 sets that ran from 1970 to 1977. As of today, 611 Police Car is the most valuable Vehicle set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $705.
