“One of the last bright stars before Lego space collapsed. The Scorpion detector is made of two four-wheelers; there are no odd space wheel settings so you can separate the two main components and they won't fall on themselves. The front half has a cockpit which is closed on... More the top but open on the sides. A set some may overlook, but it will catch your eye after a closer look. I'm sure there are a few left on the net, try to detect them at a fair price.”

“The Scorpion Detector is a nice large tank-like vehicle with multiple features. It is actually two sections: the cockpit and a trailer. This is a very nice set to have and there are plenty of pieces that make it worthwhile. Alternate models on the back of the box show a... More medium-sized air vehicle and even a small base. There are also some rare or one-of-a-kind pieces. A 4x4 white turntable included is a first for me as is the 2x1x3 window.”

The Exploriens Space subtheme introduced in 1996. The story was based on the eponymous Exploriens, a group of civilian space explorers searching for fossils. A total of 9 sets were created and the subtheme was discontinued that same year.

Exploriens was introduced in 1996 and currently consists of 9 sets. As of today, 6982 Explorien Starship is the most valuable Exploriens set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $425.
