LEGO 7111 Droid Fighter was a 62 piece Star Wars set released in 1999. It features a droid fighter from Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace with wings that convert from cruising to attack mode and can transform from a flying craft into a walking droid by turning its head. The wings can be moved for either walking or flight mode. It is based on the film Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.

“For a sleek little flying ship, this looks pretty good. Only a little too chunky at the base. But for a flying fighter, the question is again raised, where are the weapons? The walking mode is not nearly as good. Firstly, the head looks absolutely terrible (even worse in... More real life), and it is not very stable. The perks of this set are: it can be swooshed, and has six printed pieces (head, four side tiles, computer tile). The bad parts are the walking mode, the wings flop a little, and the four wing panels fall off incessantly.”

“This is an okay set of the LEGO Star Wars theme. It's the first and only set which comes with this vehicle. He doesn't have any stickers which makes this set cooler. Actually in the movies the droid fighter is actually called 'vulture droid'. There're no minifigs included in... More this set.
