“May look like Koopa Troopa hidden within their shell, but Para-Beetles are far more tricky to dispatch than their turtle-like companions. The Para-Beetle first appeared in Super Mario Bros. 3 and take the form of armoured beetle-like, winged creature. The LEGO version uses... More the same shell element as the Koopa Troopa, with a couple of the spikes swapped out for connection points, where you can attach a couple of wings.”

“Para-Beetles are flying Buzzy Beetles, of which a dark blue one featured in series one of the character packs. The shell is a new mold, though, with two holes on the sides for the wings. It takes two scans to defeat this hard-shelled foe.”

About Super Mario Character Pack Series 2

This is the second series of Character Packs. A random figure is included in each pack. Figures include Huckit Crab, Spiny Cheep Cheep, Ninji, Foo, Parachute Goomba, Para-Beetle, Poison Mushroom, Thwimp, Fly Guy and Bone Goomba. These characters are designed to be used with a Starter Course set, which is required for interactive play.

Character Pack Series 2 was introduced in 2021 and currently consists of 13 sets. As of today, Character Pack Series 2 Sealed Box is the most valuable Character Pack Series 2 set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $126.
