“Monster Crab Clash (although I want to say Crunch) is a nice little set that makes a great "stocking stuffer" and introductory set to the Atlantis theme. A little pricey at TRU, I would value this set at no more than $5 (USD). It does; however, provide a few nice pieces,... More especially the large claws and orange fangs.”

BrickEconomy Expert Review
“The set features a well-designed sea creature with adjustable legs, offering a visually striking addition to any Atlantis-themed diorama. However, its color scheme of predominantly black and orange limits part reuse for non-marine builds. The included diver minifigure is a notable highlight, featuring a double-printed head with distinct expressions and removable fins for added playability. While this set stands out for its design and thematic consistency within the Atlantis series, its limited swoosh factor.”

About Atlantis

The Atlantis was a theme introduced in 2010 whose story line is about a group of explorers that are searching the sea floor for the eponymous lost city of Atlantis from ancient myths. The theme reprises several elements from earlier underwater LEGO themes including Aquazone, Divers and Aqua Raiders. The Atlantis theme also has a more elaborate back story than its predecessors, showcased on a dedicated website. Each of the sets are equipped with a wide array of red futuristic underwater vehicles with light green viewports and weaponry.
Summary
Atlantis Monster Crab Clash set 8056 was released on December 4, 2009, retailing for $7, it has since been retired. New, unopened sets are valued at $37, while used sets sell around $7.
