“The Police Car from the Lego Technic series is a pretty model for beginners. From a few individual parts a buggy is built, and it’s construction is pretty stable. Unfortunately, except for steering of the front wheels, there are no functions. With a few more parts, at least... More the steering wheel could be steerable. All in all, the Police Car gets four stars in the overall rating.”

“The third small Tech Play model of 1996 was the 8230 Coastal Cop Buggy. This appears to be some sort of beach buggy and comes complete with a friendly police officer in black. Although bigger than the other two Tech Play models this year, 8230 still has only a single... More feature: steering. A range of stickers represent the police logo, spotlights, and tail lights.”
