All in all, I would rather call it a fantasy model, because in reality such vehicles... More don’t seem to occur. Assembly makes lots of fun, so after all its four stars in the overall rating are quite justified.”

“The 8414 Mountain Rambler released in 1997 doesn't seem like a real vehicle as much as it seems like an excuse to use the new rubber tracks with some suspension, and at that it succeeds reasonably. This is the smallest Tech Build model of the year but still has an... More impressive array of features. Sadly the treads have too much friction to roll properly and therefore this model is not as good as it could be.”

About Technic

TECHNIC is one of The LEGO Company's main lines based on creating detailed model machines and mechanical toys with specialized beams, axles, gears and connectors and primarily designed for older children and adults. The theme was first introduced as the Expert Builder series in 1977, but was officially renamed as TECHNIC in 1984. TECHNIC is still an active theme, and is one of the longest running themes in LEGO history.
