LEGO 8532 Onua is a Bionicle Toa Mata set released in 2001, containing 30 pieces. The build depicts Toa Onua with black armor, the Kanohi Pakari mask, and clawed hands driven by a gear mechanism for digging motions. Two versions were issued, with 8532-2 including a bonus mini CD-ROM. The set combines with 8531 Pohatu and 8534 Tahu to build the Toa Kaita Akamai, and with 8531 Pohatu to create a Fikou.

“The canister is pretty cool in the bionicle story these are the canister's that the Toa arrived on Mata Nui in. On the canister it shows Onua in a cool pose and he is underground tunneling with his huge claws. On the top of the canister it has a face of a Toa wich if you... More want you could put the mask on top of it. So the canister is cool it's very accurate to the story.”

“Onua was released in 2001 as one of the original six Toa sets. Onua will swing his arms up and down when the gear on his back is turned. This function can be used to try to knock off the mask of another Toa or Rahi set.”

About Bionicle Toa Mata

The Toa Mata are the main heroes of LEGO BIONICLE and comprised of Tahu, Gali, Lewa, Pohatu, Onua, and Kopaka. They were the first Toa and where originally just known as Toa. When they were submersed in energized protodermis and came out with enhanced powers and abilities, Toa Tahu renamed them the Toa Nuva. Their powers included strong control over their element, personal tools used mainly for directing their elemental power, and a Kanohi Mask granting an additional ability. On Mata Nui the Toa each collected additional Kanohi Masks that allowed them to use the powers that their brother Toa have.

Toa Mata was introduced in 2001 and currently consists of 6 sets. As of today, 8534 Tahu is the most valuable Toa Mata set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $393.
