LEGO 8586 Macku is a Bionicle Matoran set released in 2003, containing 25 pieces. It depicts the rebuilt form of the Ga-Matoran Macku from the BIONICLE storyline after the Bohrok-Kal attacks. The set includes a grey Kolhii stick and a Kolhii ball, matching the character’s association with the Kolhii sport featured in the early theme narrative. A second variation, 8586-2, was released in Japan as a Kabaya Foods promotion, and the Kabaya version included instructions for combining parts from Macku with 8584 Hewkii and 8585 Hafu.

“Once known as Maku, Macku is the Original Ga-Matoran.She was given out back in 2001 as a Promotion at McDs.She wears the Blue Huna,which is one of Three Primary colored Hunas. On Mata Nui she is Kohlii partners with Hahli,Another Ga-Matoran.”

By combining pieces from Macku with 8581 Kopeke, 8582 Matoro, 8583 Hahli, 8584 Hewkii, and 8585 Hafu, one can build a four-armed being and quadrupedal... More beast, though official instructions were never released.”

About Bionicle Matoran

The Matoran are BIONICLE citizens and are smaller than Toa warriors. There are several types of Matoran including Ko-Matoran, Ga-Matoran, Ta-Matoran, Le-Matoran, Onu-Matoran, Po-Matoran, and Av-Matoran. Various Matoran characters were made into more significant characters some even becoming Toa. If a Matoran from each Metru or Koro wish to combine their bodies they can form a being called a Matoran Nui.

Matoran consists of 35 sets that ran from 2001 to 2008. As of today, 8546 Bionicle Power Pack is the most valuable Matoran set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $177.
