“An additional hair piece in this packet is certainly very good for customizing male minifigs. Furthermore, you can even use the special magic wand to conduct your own "magic".”

About Minifigure Series Series 1

Minifigures Series 1 was LEGO's first release of it's collectable minifigures which nnow numbers in the dozens. The collection, like most in the theme, contains sixteen exclusive minifigures, many of which were based on concepts never seen before their release. Each minifigure was sold individually in foil polybags and came with a selection of accessories, a display stand, and a paper checklist. The opaque foil packaging was intended to make the minifigure a mystery, however, it was quickly noticed that the barcodes on the back could identify the contents.

Series 1 was introduced in 2010 and currently consists of 19 sets. As of today, Series 1 Sealed Box is the most valuable Series 1 set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $1,325.
Summary
Minifigure Series Series 1 Magician set 8683 was released on May 10, 2010, retailing for $2, it has since been retired. New, unopened sets are valued at $18, while used sets sell around $11.

Appearing out of nowhere with a flourish of his cape and a twirl of his elegant, curly moustache, the mysterious Magician is the ultimate in stylish showmanship. He loves a good audience to appreciate his incredible and sense-defying magic tricks, but watch out – not only is he an amazing performer, but he’s also a talented prankster as well! He’ll confuse, bewilder and amaze with a mix of sleight-of-hand and impossible feats, and the more surprised his audience is, the better.

Whether he’s making a flock of doves fly out of his wand or pulling a giant rabbit out of his magic hat, the Magician is always ready to put on a spectacular show…right up until he vanishes without a trace in a flash of lightning and a puff of smoke!
