LEGO 2010 / Minifigure Series / Series 1 Sets

Minifigures Series 1 was LEGO's first release of it's collectable minifigures which nnow numbers in the dozens. The collection, like most in the theme, contains sixteen exclusive minifigures, many of which were based on concepts never seen before their release. Each minifigure was sold individually in foil polybags and came with a selection of accessories, a display stand, and a paper checklist. The opaque foil packaging was intended to make the minifigure a mystery, however, it was quickly noticed that the barcodes on the back could identify the contents.

2010 LEGO Sets

2010 sets the stage for a massive investment opportunity for future collectors with the release of the Series 1 of the Collectable Minifigures. In addition, LEGO introduced the Cars theme and LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 was also released. However, a number of themes and subthemes were retired including Agents, Bob The Builder, Indiana Jones and Thomas and Friends. For the Star Wars collectors, LEGO celebrated the 30th Anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back with a number of special sets. Additionally, LEGO and Disney released a bunch of different Disney subthemes.
