“The F1 racing car from the Lego Technic series is a typical entry-level model. From very few individual parts a model is built here, which of course can hardly contain any functions. At least there's steering. Altogether there are three stars in the overall rating because... More there is still a certain similarity to the original. Of course, the fun with this racing car is limited.”

“This little F1 racer, released in 1994, foreshadowed a trend of smaller, less intricate Technic models for beginning builders. Its sole function is front rack and pinion steering. It was really out of place in the 8800 series and would have fit better in future years.”
