LEGO 8842 Go-Kart is a Technic set released in 1986, containing 281 pieces. The model builds a go-kart with rack-and-pinion steering operated by a wheel at the driver's position, along with a single-cylinder reciprocating engine driven by one rear wheel. Its engine is mounted at an unusual angle and uses the offset axle hole of a 24-tooth gear to form the crankshaft. The set also includes dual wheels at each corner and was the first Technic model to use the 13x24 Model Team wheels and tires, with eight of these wheel-and-tire assemblies in total.

In addition to the great look, the stable construction also impresses, so that having fun is... More guaranteed. Unfortunately, all this is not enough for the maximum rating, as the pistons in the engine are only driven by a rear wheel. As a result, there is no differential. About Technic

TECHNIC is one of The LEGO Company's main lines based on creating detailed model machines and mechanical toys with specialized beams, axles, gears and connectors and primarily designed for older children and adults. The theme was first introduced as the Expert Builder series in 1977, but was officially renamed as TECHNIC in 1984. TECHNIC is still an active theme, and is one of the longest running themes in LEGO history.
