LEGO 8904 Avak is a Bionicle Piraka set released in 2006, containing 41 pieces. The build represents the Piraka Avak, nicknamed “The Trigger,” and includes a Zamor Sphere Launcher with spheres and a combined seismic pickaxe/jackhammer. The figure features light-up eyes and glow-in-the-dark teeth, plus poseable limbs using the Piraka torso and spine elements. It was one of the six Piraka canister sets launched in 2006.

“When I first built Avak, I was actually quite impressed. The constructions was a bit different than normal, due to the ball joints on the torso instead of on the limbs. One thing that will catch you off guard is their height. They are much shorter than they look, they are as... More tall as Toa Nuju. Their legs are quite long, but that is too make up for the shortness of their torso.”

About Bionicle Piraka

The Piraka BIONICLE are the main villains in the first third of the Legends arc and want nothing more than to claim the Ignika Mask of Life and use it for their own gain. They take there name from the Matoran language which means thieves and murderers. All six Piraka are members of the Skakdi race; cruel, sadistic beings from the island of Zakaz.

Piraka was introduced in 2006 and currently consists of 6 sets. As of today, 8903 Zaktan is the most valuable Piraka set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $206.
