“The Epic Dragon Battle is the original 2012, (partially) re-imagined in 2019 as the Ultra Dragon (set 70679). This set was the top end set of the 2012 Ninjago sets linked to the 'Search of the Fang Blades.' The set consists of three elements: the Ultra Dragon, the Great... More Devourer and a prison/shrine like structure. This offers a lot of opportunity for play - and so do the minifigures, the majority of them actually being bad guys. This set is a great set, that was first released in June 2012, and has held up very well over time. It is as good a play set as any, and just as great a display set.”

About Ninjago Rise of the Snakes

The theme Rise of the Snakes contained sets based on the first season of Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu which was preceded by the pilot episodes wave. Sets focused on the four original ninja, against Pythor and the Serpentine villainous faction. Rise of the Snakes sets were released in two waves and depicted ninja vehicles and Serpentine vehicles, along with builds often depicting shrines. The second wave included the addition of translucent spinners, translucent vipers, the NRG ninja, and the Green Ninja.

Rise of the Snakes was introduced in 2012 and currently consists of 13 sets. As of today, 9450 Epic Dragon Battle is the most valuable Rise of the Snakes set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $799.
