The theme Rise of the Snakes contained sets based on the first season of Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu which was preceded by the pilot episodes wave. Sets focused on the four original ninja, against Pythor and the Serpentine villainous faction. Rise of the Snakes sets were released in two waves and depicted ninja vehicles and Serpentine vehicles, along with builds often depicting shrines. The second wave included the addition of translucent spinners, translucent vipers, the NRG ninja, and the Green Ninja.
