The Ghost Train Reviews
Eurobricks
“Thumbs up for: The theme itself (who doesn't love monsters?) and an interesting idea for a haunted locomotive (that could probably still be improved upon). Also the figures are pretty cool. Thumbs down for: Dropping the ball after giving us two decent models.”
Brickset
“The main attraction of the set is of course the glowing elements, and are easily charge on a cloudy day in the windowsill, with no blazing greenhouse required! The train is a masterpiece to display and for play, but the only slight, minute downside is that the wings easily... More droop on their black arm pieces.”

Brickipedia
“This set contains Lord Vampyre's Castle, a large fortress made mainly of light grey, dark grey, and black parts, and a sand green car for the Monster Fighters. A total of six minifigures are included in the set; Lord Vampyre, Vampyre Bride, two Manbats, and two monster... More fighters (Dr. Rodney Rathbone and Jack McHammer).”
