Insights

Released as an Inside Tour promotional item and now retired, Inside Tour Gali Mask is a unique Bionicle mask variant tied to a core character, and its tiny Inside Tour distribution created durable scarcity, while thin trading volume produces episodic volatility tied to provenance.

Set Facts

The Inside Tour Gali Mask was released as an exclusive giveaway during the LEGO Inside Tour in Billund, Denmark in 2015. It was never sold at retail and was not part of any LEGO Store promotion, being reserved only for tour participants. The production run is commonly cited at about 200 copies, making it one of the rarest modern Bionicle items. The piece is a transparent blue version of Gali’s Mask of Water, also known as the Kaukau, from the 2015 Bionicle reboot. It uses the same mold as the retail mask but has no unique printing.
The mask is fully compatible with the 2015-2016 Bionicle head system and can be swapped with other Toa masks from that period. Attendees received the mask as part of their Inside Tour package, and it was not assigned a retail set number or sold in standard packaging. Because of its extremely limited production and closed distribution, the mask is highly collectible, and examples with original provenance are especially valued by fans.
The mask is made from transparent polycarbonate.
