About 1950 LEGO Sets

1950 continued the production of Automatic Binding Bricks and introduced seven new supplemental part packs—the earliest LEGO spare parts ever sold. Set 700A featured a mix of 2x2 and 2x4 bricks, establishing a standard for future assortments. These early sets were distributed primarily in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden and remained in production until the mid-1950s. Today, surviving examples are extremely rare, with few complete boxed sets known to exist.
