About LEGO Town Coastguard
LEGO Coastguard (Coast Guard) is a subtheme of the Town introduced in 1989 and ran until 1996 that was based around maritime coastguard rescue services. Town Coastguard was later moved to the City theme.
1995 LEGO Sets
In 1995, LEGO marked significant milestones, celebrating its 60th anniversary as a company and the 40th anniversary of the LEGO brick. However, despite these achievements, the mid-1990s became a period of introspection and adaptation for LEGO, as shifting dynamics in the toy market and increasing competition signaled the need for innovation and strategic change.
