The LEGO City Airport theme is a subset of the larger LEGO City line, dedicated to capturing the world of aviation in brick form. Introduced in various iterations over the years, this theme includes sets representing airport terminals, a variety of aircraft ranging from commercial airliners to cargo planes, and essential ground vehicles like fuel trucks and baggage carriers.
2005 LEGO Sets
2005 shaped up to be a significant year for LEGO collections. Starting with the fact that LEGO System celebrated its 50th anniversary, we also saw a LEGO set designers change their techniques in set designing. 2006 marked the year that the skin color of the Star Wars minifigures changed from yellow to light nougat which also continued to various other future licensed themes. While this was a simple change, the value of sets saw high growth. 2006 introduced the LEGO City theme which replaced the Town theme, as well as Tiny Turbos under the Racers theme. However, in 2006 LEGO did discontinue Alpha Team and Baby.
